Scout House Cleanup - Need Adult Coordinator

Posted on Apr 29 2017 - 5:59pm

Saturday, May 6 is Scout House Clean Up Day. Starts at 9AM & runs to around noon. Part of the agreement for the Troop to use the facility rent free is to participate in the clean up day. There will be a list of jobs provided the morning of the clean up. It varies from general housekeeping to some painting and light maintenance. For this reason both adults and Scouts are necessary to participate. Some tasks on ladders may be inappropriate for the boys.

Storage Unit Alternative

Posted on Apr 29 2017 - 5:52pm

The Troop pays for a storage unit at Brea U-Store on Lambert Ave. to store our camping gear such as tents, stoves, etc. The monthly cost to rent this unit is quite high and recently increased from $180/moth to $190/month. The Troop is looking for a more affordable alternative, either in a commercial facility or at someone's home. The site has to be accessible in the evenings for gear pulls. If you have an idea on an alternative, please see Mr. Long or Mr. Matthews.
